He is originally from Afghanistan and is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
He discovered his talent in art and design in Sweden, which made his world more meaningful and gave him a new perspective on life. Art became his first language as a young refugee and gave him a new way to express himself, his feelings, and what he had been through.
Today, Hadi Qasemi is an artist, human rights activist, and public speaker. In addition to teaching art, he has donated several of his works of art and collected over half a million kronor to e.g. Musikhjälpen, Project Playground, and Human Rights Watch to support their essential work.
He always says,
"Art saved my life and now it is my turn to save others' lives through Art."
